The beauty of 'MEHANDI'

The term "Mehandi" is the Indian word for Henna, and it is also the term used to describe the art of applying henna. Mehandi is used to create temporary tattoos mainly to the hands and feet of a woman. Today henna is used to make tattoos on different parts of the body whether it is the arm, the wrist or around the navel. Henna is being used for body art as well. In this form mehndi has become popular in the west. Here I have designed an Indian girl who is fully covered by detailed Indian Mehandi.

My language, my identity

Arabic is written from right to left in its own unique script, and may seem complicated. However, Arabic has a simple alphabet that once learned, is very accurate in conveying the correct punctuation of each word. project I arranged all the letters into one big letter, I wanted my final look to show like the fist of the hand holding all the letters inside and not letting go.

World Cancer Day

I chose my theme to be the World Cancer Day, which is on the 4th of February. Cancer patients should have hope and faith in themselves to survive the disease. If patients have the ability to ignore the odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or fight like hell.

Parting Sorrow

My theme here is about separation; it is an incident that happened to me on the 12th of February. Where I got separated from a really close person to my heart. I tried portraying that painful wound, and all the suffering I passed through till today.

70's Design (Minimalist Style)

Minimalism describes movements in various forms of art and design, especially visual art and music, where the work is stripped down to its most fundamental features. As a specific movement in the arts it is identified with developments in post-World War II Western Art, most strongly with American visual arts in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Chinese Painting

Chinese painting is one of the oldest continuous artistic traditions in the world. Traditional painting involves essentially the same techniques as calligraphy and is done with a brush dipped in black or colored ink.

There are mainly two techniques in Chinese painting, which are:

1- Meticulous - Gong-bi ( often referred to as "court-style" painting)

2- Freehand - Shui mo (The Chinese character "mo" means ink and "shui" means water)

In this collection i have used the freehand style:-
